TOMMY.

Tommy supports the incredible efforts of the Team to deliver our projects. Based out of the UK for some of the year, working as a commercial photographer, educator and freelance outdoor education instructor.

Think People Think Story is a way for Tommy and the team to utilise their creativity and photography to support the mental and physical wellbeing of humans in the team's communities.

For a few months over the UK winter Tommy takes off with his camera exploring and vlogging his adventures in new places like India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh.

The relationships forged over many years of adventures around the world and especially a more personal connection to Uganda, have shown Tommy how he can use creativity to inspire and empower every human he meets to feel a little less fear and a lot more self-confident, comfortable, and positive within themselves and their lives.

With a wide network crossing creative genres, industries, countries and continents, Clare keeps Tommy inline and the Team on track.

MUGANDA.

Muganda is an entrepreneur at heart with wisdom beyond his years and over a decade of experience working with charitable organisations in his local community.

Along with his wife Edith Muganda owns and operates Buja Bean Coffee, the first local coffee shack in Buajagali Village launched with the funds from our groups staying with his family.

His family host our guests and there is no evening meal like the one at Mama Mugandas Home.

KIBOMBO.

Moses… more commonly known by his second name, Kibombo (chi—bom—bo), has been part of our village team since 2020.

He is a part of hosting and supporting our groups during their time in the Village. His humor, energy, and knowledge ensure the groups get what they need, and where they need to be.

In 2022 we collaborated to set up Nile River Paddle Boarding, a small local company which is now owned and operated by Moses.

Working with local adventure companies Moses is well-known and respected in his community, and he’s also pretty handy with a camera!

Welcome to the team.

WATCH TEAM UK’S ADVENTURE…

Team UK. 24

Ross, Steve, Devan joined Tommy and the team in January 2024 to deliver 143 mattresses as part of The Sleepwell Project.

While Ross and Steve returned for their second trip, Dev got straight into his first Ugandan adventure. Being passionate watermen they enjoyed long days on the rapids of the White Nile River, both in kayaks and on paddle boards.

We all enjoyed organising and competing in the Nile River Festival along with 50+ local and international water babies.
